Mass Spectrometry

The MBC offers three main types of mass spectrometry, MALDI-TOF/TOF/MS (Ultraflex III, Bruker Daltonics), LC/MS/MS (LCQ Deca, Thermo Finnegan) and SELDI-TOF/MS (Bio-Rad).

These are used either singly or in overlapping workflows.

We have experience in using mass spectrometry for protein biomarker discovery, peptide and protein identification as well as protein characterisation. We provide analyses on a broad range of biological samples from small molecules to large protein complexes and biological fluids such as serum/plasma and tissue extracts.
